Patrick Mahomes II was born on 17 September 1995 to Pat Mahomes (father) and Randi Martin (mother) at Tyler, Texas.

His father, Pat, used to be a Major League Baseball player.

Mahomes attended Whitehouse high school, Smith County, Texas.

He started as a baseball player in high school and was a top prospect who was thought to be following in his father’s footsteps, being that his father played baseball until 2009 after ranking as high as #25 in 1992.

Mahomes was ranked 419 among prospects in 2014 when he came out of high school and was very passionate about American football even though he could play basketball.

His father made sure he did not influence his son’s sports career choice since he observed the kid loved and wanted to play American football.

Pat just gave his son all the support he needed knowing he could have succeeded in professional baseball as well.

During his senior year in high school, he had an awesome record as an American football player — he had 15 rush touchdowns, 948 rush yards, 50 passing touchdowns, and a whopping 4,619 passing yards.

Texas Tech College (2014–2016)

Mahomes enrolled at Texas tech university after high school.

He was selected for the 2014 Major League Baseball draft by Detroit Tigers, but he didn’t put the pen down on paper with them as he was more interested in football.

He was named ‘Male Athlete of the year’ by MaxPreps.

Mahomes started out as a backup to Davis Webb in his freshman year.

His first game was against Oklahoma State when Webb came off with an injury, and Mahomes had a great game.

He had his first start in a match against Texas; he had 13 successful of 21 attempted passes with 109 yards in that match.

Mahomes also played for the school’s baseball team as a relief pitcher.

He started his sophomore year as the starting quarterback.

28 NFL teams were present at his pro day, he had 18 closed-door workout and visits, which was the record for 2017 prospects.

Kansas City Chiefs picked Mahomes in the first round of the 2017 NFL Draft, making him the first quarterback they picked in the first round since 1983.

Mahomes put pen on paper for the Kansas City Chiefs on 20th July 2017 in a four-year deal valued at $16.42m alongside $10.08m as signing bonus.

On December 27, he got his first career start in a game against Denver Broncos.

She is a former soccer player and currently a personal fitness trainer.
