Tyreek Hill was born on March 1, 1994, in Pearson Georgia and was raised by his mother Anesha Sanchez. Tyreek Hill’s childhood was one laden with several challenges. He grew up playing football and track games in the Pearson Elementary High School which he attended. He excelled more in tracks due to his focus and was named the winner of the 100 and 200-meter duo in 2012 at the Georgia 5A state tournament. He also won the High School Athlete of the Year that same year and seconded a speed record in the 200-meter slot. He was rewarded for his feats by being a part of the 2012 USA Today All-American track and field selection.

Following his graduation from high school, Tyreek hill attended the Garden City Community College where he focused more on football than tracks. He had an amazing record of rushing yards, passes caught, touchdowns and receiving yards. Following his sophomore in the Garden City Community College, Hill switched to the Oklahoma State University in 2014 and played well till his arrest for domestic violence which saw him being dismissed from the school team. Hill eventually left Oklahoma and attended the University of West Alabama where he featured quite impressively in the football team as a running back.

Kansas City Chiefs (2016-present)

Due to his legal stain, he was uninvited to enter the 2016 NFL draft but was drafted by the Kansas City Chiefs who gave him an opportunity to play professional football. He was the 165th overall draft of 2016 and was carped by fans. The media also faulted the team for signing Hill due to his legal tint which forced a spontaneous press conference that talked the issue to the media during the opening day of rookie minicamp.

Tyreek hill agreed on a $2,580,000 4-year deal with the Chiefs. Although presently a wide receiver, Hill’s rookie year had him feature as a punt returner, kick returner, and fourth wide receiver. He was brought to attention as he returned a kickoff for an 86-yard touchdown against the Denver Broncos and also reached a speed of 22.77 miles per hour, becoming the fastest for that season. Due to this, he was named the AFC Offensive Player of the Week.

After impressing against the Oakland Raiders in the 14th week, he won the AFC Special Teams Player of the Week title as he helped the Chiefs move to the top of the league. He displayed more quality against the Chargers for the last fixture and won his second AFC Special Teams Player of the Week honour. At the end of the season, Hill was listed to the 2017 Pro Bowl and NFL All-Rookie Team as well as being rated the 36th on the list of NFL Top 100 Players of 2017.

Tyreek Hill continued his good run of form as he finished the 2017 regular season with returning 1,183 yards, 75 receptions and 7 touchdowns. Again he was listed to the Pro Bowl that season, which was the second of his career in his second professional year. Hill also contributed to the Kansas City Chiefs AFC west victory and made it to the NFL Top 100 Players of 2018 as the 40th.

During the 2018 season opener against the LA Chargers, Hill recorded 3 touchdowns in one game and 3 receiving touchdowns in the 6th game of the season against the Patriots. That season, Hill would have his best season stats with 87 receptions for 1,479 yards and 12 touchdowns. With this ooze of quality, he was named to the Pro Bowl again. Tyreek Hill was given suspension during a child abuse investigation against him. After the legal decisions in his favour, he signed a 3-year deal worth $54 million.

As the 2019 season began, Hill was forced out of a game due to injury. The Kansas City Chiefs qualified for their 1st Super Bowl since Hill’s contract in 2016 as they featured against the San Francisco 49ers and won the Super Bowl LIV.
