Von Miller’s Childhood & Early Life

Von was born in the year 1989 on March 26. He was born to his parents Von and Gloria Miller, who were both athletes in high school before they got married but later owned a power supply business. He has a younger brother called Vinsynzie ” Vin”. His parents then got divorced, and Von had to be raised by his father. Von was interested in going into a business like his father but was convinced to become a professional athlete. Von chooses Football.

High School Career

Desoto High School

Von attended Desoto High School, and there he participated in different track and field games like high jump, triple jump, javelin throws, and most notably, he joined the DeSoto Eagles Football Team. In his junior year, he had 37 tackles, 14 tackles for a loss and 12 quarterback hurries in his Junior year. He finished as the No. 15 weak side of the defensive end in the country. Von was awarded the 8-5A defensive most valuable player. He was called a 4-Star athlete by Ricky.com and received many offers of scholarships from a lot of Colleges.

College Career

Texas A&M University

Von committed to the A&M University of Texas in 2006 and began playing with the football team of the A&M University of Texas. He was in the defensive position in his freshmen year; he made 22 tackles, 2 sacks, and 1 forced fumble. In his sophomore season, he had to play at a different position, which is Backside linebacker, where he made 45 tackles, 3.5 sacks, and 2 forced fumbles.

Anything in the form of recognition and record-breaking happened in his Junior year of 2009. Von had to change his position of play again and played the defensive / outside linebacker hybrid. In this position he thrived, having a record-breaker of 17 sacks,  21 tackles for loss, He was the Fourth in the country. Von also won several recognitions such as the First Team All American Selections, the very first A&M Aggie to receive such recognition in 10 years. He equally won the First-Team  All-Big 12 at Defensive End.

His senior season was even much better, with Von receiving even more recognition for his hard work. He won the First Team All-Big 12 Honors and also the First- Team All American honours. He also received the Butkus Award, the most prestigious award in college. Von had a fantastic 10.5 sacks and 17.5 fumbles for a loss, earning him the honours mentioned above. He soon graduated university with a degree in poultry science.

Professional Career

Denver Broncos (2011–date)

After he successfully toped his NFL combine by breaking his line breaker record with the 1st in 60- yard shuttle. Von was drafted as the Second Overall pick of the NFL by the Denver’s Broncos in 2011. Von became the highest selected linebacker to the NFL since 2006.

Kicking up his Professional Career with the Broncos, Von began showing his exemplary football skills. He completed his first season with the team as he recorded 11.5 sacks, 19.5 hits, and 29 quarterback hurries.

He was awarded the All-PRO on Numerous occasions during his career, and he became NFL’s fastest player in September 2016 with 50 career sacks in 58 games. He was named the Superbowl MVP after his team won the Superbowl 50.

In July 2016, Von extended his contract with the Broncos for six years, at $ 114 million with $70 million guaranteed and a yearly salary of $19, million, making him one of the highest-paid linebacker in NFL’s history. After becoming the Superbowl MVP in 2016, Von packed in a lot of endorsements from different companies earning him Over $35 million in endorsements deals from June 2017- June 2018, making him the number 33rd highest-paid Athletes by Forbes list.

Von Miller’s Personal Life

Von Miller has a lot going for him. Being one who always wanted to have a business, He finally achieved his aim by opening a poultry farm where he rears chicken. 

Von also owns a charity foundation he created in 2012 called Von’s vision. This foundation provides the Denver youths, and the environ with free eye examination and eyewear. Some specific days are set aside to host Von’s Vision day–providing free eye exams and glasses to children; this has helped a lot of children know the condition of their eyesight and also have been provided with glasses in less than 1 hour.

Von is rumoured to be in a relationship with Instagram model and dancer Megan Denise. Megan is a stripper and dances in the club owned by Floyd Mayweather called Girl Collection in Texas. They have been seen together on different occasions. They were first seen together when they both attended the 2018 ESPY awards in Los Angeles. Megan has also been seen in some of his games cheering for him. Megan recently opened up an online clothing store where she sells customized wears. It is hoped that the couple would tie the knot.

Von has several collections, in addition to the fleet of luxury cars, over 800 shoes–some sneakers and designer shoes among others and even have a collection of designer glasses. He has only worn about 200 of these shoes.

Vonnie also has a streak of getting into trouble, In August 2013, he was arrested, and his Driving license was suspended for overspeeding while driving. In a recent fishing expedition, he was suspected of having landed a hammerhead shark, and this is still under investigation.

Von is a man of ink as he has got tattoos all over his body.
