Since it’s release in the fall of 2013, the PlayStation 4 has arguably been the best console of the decade, featuring some of the best PS4 games ever. As there are still a few months left before Sony unveils the long-awaited PlayStation 5 (PS5), Sportytell will be looking into some of the best PS4 games 2020 (already released), that deserves at least a large portion of your gaming time right now, with choices from various genres.

21. Apex Legends

Well if you’ve played Battle Royale games like PUBG and Fortnite, and you want to try something different and yet of the same genre, then Respawn Entertainment’s Apex Legends is definitely worth some of your gaming time. You get to form squads of threes while going up against other players to try and gather as much loot as possible, while also trying to be the last squad or player standing. What makes Apex Legends all the more interesting is the fact that you get to take on one of 8 classes each represented by a special character having several abilities, in a Titanfall Universe, all of which adds to the dynamic experience of the game. And just like most Battle Royale games, you get to enjoy Apex Legends for free.

20. Devil May Cry 5

Fans of the Devil May Cry series have definitely had to wait a long while for the fifth instalment of the game. Capcom actually did a reboot of the series in 2015 where Dante and his twin brother Virgil, had to defeat the demon king Mundus who banished his father and killed his mother. Dante later had to defeat his brother Virgil. Devil May Cry 5 sees the return of Nero and Dante alongside V a mysterious new protagonist as they battle the demon king Urizen. You, the player gets to use all 3 characters who use different fighting styles and abilities with V having the most interesting ability to call upon demons to fight for him. This action-packed game is sure to get your adrenaline pumping.

19. Control

Remedy Entertainment’s Control sets the stage in the Federal Bureau of Control an agency that deals with the paranormal. The player gets to be Jesse Haden, the new director who has to uncover the mystery of her brother’s disappearance, and defeat several enemies and saving the world from certain doom along the way. The third-person shooter game also includes a healthy mix of abilities including levitation, telekinesis, and an interesting ability to control some enemies.

18. Assassin’s Creed Odyssey

Ubisoft’s RPG franchise got their most recent Assassin’s Creed spot-on. Thanks to its stunning graphics and adventure-packed gameplay, you get to explore the ancient world of Greece as a Mercenary in the Peloponnesian war. Players get to choose between Alexios and Kassandra as they try to navigate turbulent waters while uncovering their history.

The stealth-action packed adventure game, Hitman 2 is the sequel to the reboot which IO interactive released in 2016. As Agent 47, you get to silently take out high-value targets in different ways, thanks to the variety of weapons available to you.

10. Grand Theft Auto V

If you’re coming from PS3, you’ll attest to the fact that GTA 5 is a fan favourite.
